Become A Preferred Consultant

The MultiCultural Development Center (MCDC) is currently accepting applications from highly competent consultants and trainers with a successful, proven history in diversity-related work to become MCDC Preferred Consultants. We are searching for individuals who may or may not be affiliated with larger consulting firms. MCDC will and shall not list professional and/or diversity consulting firms or organizations as MCDC Preferred Consultants, but only specific individuals working within such firms. Individuals who would like to apply shall meet the requirements of MCDC adopted criteria and standards. If selected, these individuals will be introduced to MCDC corporate and organizational members as MCDC approved Preferred Consultants.

Consultants will provide services to MCDC members based on direct and/or indirect referrals from MCDC. These services are provided in the following areas but not limited to:

  • Diversity Process, Planning and Implementation
  • Diversity/ Cultural Assessment, Auditing and Inventory
  • Diversity Management
  • Internal and External Diversity Initiatives
  • Diversity Awareness Training/ Multicultural Education
  • Diversity/Cross-Cultural Competencies Building
  • Facilitation, Dialogue and Conversation on Diversity, Race and Race Relations.
  • Recruiting, Promoting and Retaining Diverse Employees, including Developing Leadership Pipelines and Succession Planning
  • Diversity Accountability and Measurement
  • Diversity Figures and Scorecards
  • Other

When organizations/corporations contact MCDC requesting a consultant referral, MCDC will provide them with contact information for up to four consultants who can competently meet the expressed needs of the organization. MCDC will also inform the consultant or consultants of the referral. MCDC will post a list of preferred consultants, including all information which made them qualified as MCDC Preferred Consultants, on its new website that will be launched in 2006 www.sharingdiversity.com . When organizations need speakers to deliver a keynote address, brown-bag luncheon session or for other similar activities, MCDC may provide them with referrals to relevant, capable speakers, using the same criteria and procedures.

Consultants shall submit a letter of intent, along with necessary documentation, as well as a non-refundable application fee in the amount of $75.00. All documents should be sent electronically to info@mcdc.org for consideration. Checks and money orders shall be made payable to MCDC and sent to MCDC, 9633 Lyndale Avenue South, Bloomington, MN 55420, USA.

A selection committee appointed by the MCDC Board of Directors will screen and select the candidates to be designated as MCDC Preferred Consultants based on the established consultant selection criteria and submitted information.

Candidates will be informed of the committee's decision. A contractual agreement will be sent to the selected Consultants for signature.
